  My daughter who is four has red/purple spots that have been growing. We had two different opinions before deciding to do a biopsy and Mr. Talanin seemed very knowledgeable out of the two. On the day of biopsy day my daughter was afraid and of course immediately upset. It took us awhile to get her to calm down, but Dr. Talanin tried to reason with her at first. However, I felt he spoke down to her because she was upset, which I didn't appreciate at all. After a few more tries, he stated that the other clients outside the waiting room were asking why there is a screaming child in the room and that we need a surgeon to complete the biopsy. I get that it's frustrating. I get that working with a child who is scared and doesn't fully understand the concept is crying but to abruptly leave the room out of frustration and to tell their staff to find her a surgeon is not what we expected. It has been a few days now and we haven't heard anything. There's a way to say things, so I hope this post will help other families decide on a dermatologist. No one is perfect but I hope no one has to go through what we witnessed.
